Rich Bennett 1:01
I am joined by my lovely co-host, Caleb Dykeman, I said lovely.

Kayla Deickman 1:05
You lie, yeah?

Rich Bennett 1:08
He's

Claudine Marcin 1:08
trying to score points.

Kayla Deickman 1:09
Uh-huh.

Rich Bennett 1:09
I am not, and the evil one is back. I could say evil because of the new book, right?

Claudine Marcin 1:17
That's just mean though.

Kayla Deickman 1:18
I'm.

Rich Bennett 1:18
I'm sorry.

Claudine Marcin 1:19
You're gonna pay for

Rich Bennett 1:19
The

Claudine Marcin 1:19
that one.

Rich Bennett 1:20
nice evil one?

Claudine Marcin 1:22
Oh, except that.

Rich Bennett 1:25
I don't know. All right, I won't use

Claudine Marcin 1:27
evil. Okay.

Rich Bennett 1:28
The nice muddy one, is that bad?

And you'll know what, you'll know what I mean a little bit. Claudine Marcin is joining us again. This is what you're

Claudine Marcin 1:40
third,

Rich Bennett 1:41
Third?

Kayla Deickman 1:41
third?

Rich Bennett 1:42
Are you sure?

Kayla Deickman 1:42
A third or a fourth?

Claudine Marcin 1:43
A third or a fourth? It's a third one, yeah.

Kayla Deickman 1:44
You've liked him enough to come back?

Claudine Marcin 1:45
I know.

Rich Bennett 1:46
Well,

Kayla Deickman 1:46
on

Rich Bennett 1:46
you came

Kayla Deickman 1:46
the

Rich Bennett 1:47
first time for your books.

Claudine Marcin 1:49
Right, by myself. And then the second time I was joined with Debbie Jennings.

Rich Bennett 1:52
Right.

Kayla Deickman 1:53
And

Claudine Marcin 1:53
then this is the third time.

Rich Bennett 1:54
But I thought there was another time you came on by yourself. Or maybe I kept asking you, too, and you said, that's

Claudine Marcin 2:01
I kept waiting for you.

Rich Bennett 2:03
it. Do you?

Claudine Marcin 2:03
I kept waiting for you to invite me

Rich Bennett 2:05
All right,

Claudine Marcin 2:06
and

Rich Bennett 2:06
first

Claudine Marcin 2:06
you

Rich Bennett 2:06
of all,

Claudine Marcin 2:06
didn't.

Rich Bennett 2:07
what no, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Back off, back off.

Kayla Deickman 2:11
Yeah, you just kind of.

Rich Bennett 2:11
What did I tell you? What did I tell you after the first

Claudine Marcin 2:15
one?

Rich Bennett 2:16
I told you the door is always open.

Claudine Marcin 2:18
Right, so I kept waiting for you to invite me.

Rich Bennett 2:20
The door is always open. You don't need an invite.

Claudine Marcin 2:24
And here I am.

Rich Bennett 2:25
For the podcast, not my house.

Kayla Deickman 2:29
That went one way sideways. Ray

Claudine Marcin 2:32
wants to talk about the book I haven't written

Rich Bennett 2:34
No,

Claudine Marcin 2:34
yet. That

Rich Bennett 2:34
no,

Claudine Marcin 2:34
is.

Rich Bennett 2:35
no,

Kayla Deickman 2:35
not yet.

Rich Bennett 2:35
no,

Kayla Deickman 2:35
Not yet, not yet. All

Rich Bennett 2:36
right. All right. So what's the book that came out in April?

Claudine Marcin 2:39
yes,

Rich Bennett 2:40
Which

Claudine Marcin 2:40
so this is

Rich Bennett 2:41
different for you.

Claudine Marcin 2:42
Well, this is my second horror novel.

Rich Bennett 2:44
Who's the first one?

Claudine Marcin 2:45
So my first horror novel, I didn't come on with that one. Is the house on Woody Creek Lane.

Rich Bennett 2:53
That's right.

Claudine Marcin 2:53
So

Rich Bennett 2:54
Yeah, that's. And

Claudine Marcin 2:56
I didn't I didn't come on and talk about that one. So that's that's all I mean. But that one was paranormal horror and it has a lot of my own ghostly experiences written into it. So the main character in the house on Woody Creek Lane is man in his 30s. So I took my ghost experiences and I like retooled them and gave them to him in the book.

Rich Bennett 3:19
I said before we get into the new block. Tell us some of these horror stories.

Claudine Marcin 3:24
So my my ghost experiences. So when I was a kid, we took a family vacation and went to Georgia and we stayed at my mother's family's house. And so I met her mom and my grandmother and I met her brothers and everything. And we

Rich Bennett 3:42
because I knew there's a

Claudine Marcin 3:42
mulchery.

Rich Bennett 3:44
Okay. What's the city that supposed to be very haunted? Not Atlanta. The other

Claudine Marcin 3:47
know

Rich Bennett 3:48
Savannah.

Claudine Marcin 3:49
Maybe I don't know. But so we were we were spending the night there and me and my mom and my brother and sister were all in the same room. My dad didn't come on the vacation with us. And I was awake and there was a man in the hallway and I did not recognize this man. I already met everybody and I didn't recognize this man. So I went under the covers because I was a kid, right? And I told my mom about it the next day and I described him to her and she thought that that was her stepfather who had already passed away.

Rich Bennett 4:17
Interesting.

Claudine Marcin 4:18
And I saw him clear his day. So

Rich Bennett 4:21
shadow

Claudine Marcin 4:22
him. I saw him. And I saw what he was wearing. He had a hat on. I mean, everything. And then when I was older, there was there was another trip that I could say. I sort of remember we went to a house and my sister and I both you had some weird feelings in this house. But nothing nothing really big to materialize. I was older and I had moved to Texas with my first husband and we were living in a house trailer and we were sleeping and we were sort of like back to back. And when I just woke up, I had this feeling that there was a presence, I woke up and I could see a man kneeling beside me, just like his silhouette. And he was wearing a cowboy hat and everything I could see him. And I'm like, I kind of turned my head towards my husband and I went, "David." And he goes, "What?" And I said, "Someones in here." And he goes, "I know."

Rich Bennett 5:21
"Whoa!"

Claudine Marcin 5:22
And we were like kids. We were 21 and 22 years old and we just laid there terrified, right? And then so finally, nothing happened and we sat up and we started talking. And I asked him, "So what woke you up?" And he said, "He felt somebody walk across the bed." So, "Hawk

Rich Bennett 5:42
tie your asses."

Claudine Marcin 5:44
It was... he didn't do anything, he just went away and so we moved out. There was a two room trailer so we moved to the other end of the trailer. We moved out of that room. So we didn't stay there, but... Did

Rich Bennett 5:56
you do any research later to

Claudine Marcin 5:57
we...

Rich Bennett 5:58
find out

Claudine Marcin 5:58
No. Anything

Rich Bennett 5:59
to happen on them grounds?

Claudine Marcin 6:00
That's before the internet. So no. This was 1991 and 1992, 92. So yeah, no, we didn't do any research. But then...

Rich Bennett 6:11
OK, Kela's like, "Damn, I wasn't even born yet."

Claudine Marcin 6:14
Oh... God...

I'm not looking at you, Kela.

Rich Bennett 6:20
So

Claudine Marcin 6:21
there was another story, this wasn't mine. But this happened in my sister

Kayla Deickman 6:25
when...

Claudine Marcin 6:25
I was like two and a

Kayla Deickman 6:26
half,

Claudine Marcin 6:27
moved in to our house in Edgewood.

Rich Bennett 6:28
we

Claudine Marcin 6:29
And we lived in Hartford Square, and it was just being built. So we were the first family to move into F Court, OK?

Rich Bennett 6:38
What year was it?

Claudine Marcin 6:40
It was probably 1973, maybe? Because it was before I was three years old. So 72 or 73, and um... So we were the only ones living there and my sister kept having this nightmare that she was being chased by snakes. And she would hide under her bed and they would say, "I see you, Donna Jason," right? And my sister's name is Donna. Well, she kept having this nightmare and the second family to move in, moved into

Kayla Deickman 7:12
right

Claudine Marcin 7:12
the house

Kayla Deickman 7:12
next to the state of town.

Claudine Marcin 7:13
And I was like, "I'll say this so she was right." The

Kayla Deickman 7:17
mother

Claudine Marcin 7:17
was also named Donna, and she had a

Kayla Deickman 7:19
son named Jason.

Claudine Marcin 7:22
Yeah. So then I sort of worked that in, but it didn't have anything to do with snakes. And then the other thing that happened to me, which wasn't ghostly, but it just goes to my openness for this

Rich Bennett 7:35
Right.

Claudine Marcin 7:36
stuff, right? When I met my first husband, so the first

Kayla Deickman 7:40
day we met,

Claudine Marcin 7:41
you know how it is when you meet somebody and you just click and you're just up all night. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Talking and asking everything. You want to know everything about this person, right? And I said to him, "What's your birthday?" And he told me, "Why don't you guess?" So I said, "November." And he goes, "What day?" And I said, "Eleventh." And this was the funny part because he had told me... No, he had told me...

Rich Bennett 8:08
What is?

Claudine Marcin 8:09
What, but hold on now, he had told me his age, right? But he was rounding up because his birthday was coming.

Rich Bennett 8:17
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 8:17
Okay, so he had already told me he was 22, but he wasn't 22

Rich Bennett 8:21
yet. Yes.

Claudine Marcin 8:22
Because we met in September. So his birthday was coming, so he had been rounding it up. So I should have had that in my mind. And when he asked me to guess the year, I said 1969. If I thought he was already 22, I should have said 68, but I said 1969. I hit it right on. First guess. November

Kayla Deickman 8:42
11th. Was

Claudine Marcin 8:43
his birthday. He's warping down I had been in his wallet. I said, "No." And I didn't believe him that I guessed it. So now I'm like, "You need to prove it. I need to see your license." And it was true. I guessed it. All of it. So I just have this openness to it, I think. So if there is a ghost, I will see it, or feel it. And the other thing that and I didn't work this one into the book, but like my dad passed away in 2011. And every now and then I will smell something. And it's a scent that I can associate to my dad. And so like, I'll smell it for days.

Rich Bennett 9:27
There.

Claudine Marcin 9:28
And I smelled it. When we were living in Dundalk in separate houses, I would

Kayla Deickman 9:32
in my

Claudine Marcin 9:32
smell him

Kayla Deickman 9:33
house.

Claudine Marcin 9:34
I would smell him sometimes. And I smell him now. We live in Aberdeen. And every now and then I just, I'll smell it. And some people think that ghosts will, you know, attach that's it. I don't believe that. I think they can attach to people

Rich Bennett 9:49
and and they were right

Claudine Marcin 9:52
so they'll go where they want and and when I smell him it'll be it could be days couple weeks and then it just goes away.

Rich Bennett 9:59
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 9:59
And so I'm like when I smell it, I'm like I know I know he's

Rich Bennett 10:03
comforting.

Claudine Marcin 10:04
Yeah. Yeah. So I you know if you have an openness to it, I think that you will feel these things and see these things. And some people are like dead set. No, I don't believe in that. I don't want to hear about it. But I like it.

Rich Bennett 10:20
I do. There's times I can smell my brother. Moe

Kayla Deickman 10:23
brother or

Rich Bennett 10:24
even my father, my mother not so much. Yeah. The other, uh, the other weird thing is the last,

Kayla Deickman 10:30
eh,

Rich Bennett 10:31
for

Kayla Deickman 10:31
the longest time,

Rich Bennett 10:33
I could sense her.

Claudine Marcin 10:34
Yeah.

Rich Bennett 10:35
There. Which was just weird. All right, I'm going to put you on spot. What's my birthday? If you guess it,

Claudine Marcin 10:45
I can't see, I can't do kind of stuff all the time, but I'll give it a shot. Let's see, I'm going to guess this is going to be totally wrong. September 4th,

65.

Rich Bennett 11:04
Holy

Claudine Marcin 11:04
shit. I'm totally wrong.

Rich Bennett 11:06
Are you

Claudine Marcin 11:07
all

Rich Bennett 11:08
right?

Kayla Deickman 11:09
All right,

Claudine Marcin 11:09
I know that everything's right.

Rich Bennett 11:10
No.

Claudine Marcin 11:11
Okay.

Kayla Deickman 11:12
Try for me.

Rich Bennett 11:14
Yes.

Kayla Deickman 11:14
You've already got a small.

Claudine Marcin 11:16
I'm going to

Kayla Deickman 11:17
You

Claudine Marcin 11:17
see.

Kayla Deickman 11:17
see, like,

Claudine Marcin 11:19
okay.

Rich Bennett 11:20

Claudine Marcin 11:20
don't know what was said, but

Rich Bennett 11:22
I said yesterday

Claudine Marcin 11:25
July 14th, 82.

Kayla Deickman 11:33
It's

Claudine Marcin 11:34
there. There's a connection and I can do it. I did it one other time. So I was out. So I've been online dating

Kayla Deickman 11:43
now. And I was

Claudine Marcin 11:44
on a date and I it to a guy that was on that I was on this date with, I guess, his birthday. Not the full thing because I already knew part of it, but I because I knew I knew the year because I knew his age. But I guessed his month and year or day, month and day. And I'm like, no, no, I did not. It's

Rich Bennett 12:09
a very.

Claudine Marcin 12:10
But I did.

Rich Bennett 12:11
very

Claudine Marcin 12:11
I did it

Rich Bennett 12:11
inexpensive way of dating online dating because you don't have to see them in person. You could just do it virtual, right?

Claudine Marcin 12:17
No. prefer to meet my dates in person. If I match with

Rich Bennett 12:20

Claudine Marcin 12:20
them, we got to meet.

Rich Bennett 12:22
All right. So with with the spirits and all that, are you?

Kayla Deickman 12:27
Are you sons in the present?

Rich Bennett 12:28
Isn't in the back of the room at all?

Claudine Marcin 12:30
We talked about this before. And I think I did because it was the time that we were here. It was the first time I

Rich Bennett 12:37
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 12:38
think that we did our podcast. And I did. But today, and nothing's bad because I think we kept hearing something, but not today.

Rich Bennett 12:47
I haven't seen anything today that we were doing a recording up here during the platythine and freaked Wendy because the TV will kick on and kick right off. But this time the TV kicked on, stayed on for a little bit, kicked off

Claudine Marcin 13:07
control with

Rich Bennett 13:07
the. Yeah, you control with your mind.

Claudine Marcin 13:08
Well, I'll tell you a little bit about that book, too. So I told you all my ghost stories are in this book. So again, this is the house. No. The house on Witty Creek Lane. So this one is about a young couple that buys a fixer upper in the woods. They dream of filling the house with kids and making memories. But the house on Witty Creek Lane is where dreams become your worst nightmare. So the lead character in the story Jimmy, he can see spirits as they're crossing over. But they never interact with him. They don't want to.

Rich Bennett 13:42
Right.

Claudine Marcin 13:42
They just want to be seen. They want to be, they want to be seen as they're passing over. And so he has this gift that he can see them passing over. And it, you know, he's had it all his life, so it doesn't bother him. But when they move into this house, he senses a different presence in this house. It's another spirit, another kind of spirit. And it wants something from him. But he has to figure out what it is before it's too late.

Rich Bennett 14:08
Are you getting goosebumps

Kayla Deickman 14:09
now? Are you

Rich Bennett 14:10
cold?

Kayla Deickman 14:12
Oh,

Rich Bennett 14:13
OK. Alright. How'd you come up with a title of this?

Claudine Marcin 14:15
So Witty Creek Lane is actually a street I lived on in Kansas City. And I thought it made a good title for the book.

So and then I got a, I did it had an artist do the cover for me and the cover is just evil looking. I love the cover of this book. But. So it's a good one I like it. And the there's some characters in the book that I think I might write again.

Kayla Deickman 14:43
Nice.

Rich Bennett 14:43
Oh, so follow

Kayla Deickman 14:45
I'm

Rich Bennett 14:45
up.

Kayla Deickman 14:45
back.

Claudine Marcin 14:46
Yeah, it won't be, it won't be like a, uhm, a sequel, but I can use them again. Cause they were fine characters. So,

Kayla Deickman 14:53
like a separate stand-alone.

Claudine Marcin 14:55
Yeah. Cause I might combine characters from

Kayla Deickman 14:58
that

Claudine Marcin 14:59
character from my

Kayla Deickman 15:00
knowledge.

Rich Bennett 15:02
oh, okay. Okay,

Claudine Marcin 15:03
Not, not the one that hasn't been written yet.

Rich Bennett 15:06
right

Claudine Marcin 15:06
No,

Rich Bennett 15:07
all right,

Claudine Marcin 15:07
but because there's some characters in the Owl Witch that I really like and they're a pair of podcasters, so they're really cool.

Rich Bennett 15:15
In the Owl Witch?

Claudine Marcin 15:16
Yes, they're sisters.

Rich Bennett 15:20
Really?

Claudine Marcin 15:21
Yes, but they,

Kayla Deickman 15:23
they're you in another life.

Rich Bennett 15:24
How'd you come up with that idea?

Claudine Marcin 15:26
Well, there's actually a couple girls that I know that I base them. And they do a podcast for their books or books that they read. So it's like.

Rich Bennett 15:36
The answer you're supposed to say because rich when I was on your podcast. Ignore

Claudine Marcin 15:41
this rich when I was on your podcast.

No, but I thought that they, they made some good additions to the book.

Rich Bennett 15:49
Right.

Claudine Marcin 15:49
So in the Owl Witch. So the Owl Witch is part human, part raptor, all rage, and she's loose in the air game mountains and podcasting twin sisters Leslie and Lou Ann make their way out there to investigate the strange disappearance of a group of miners from 40 years ago, and they find themselves caught up in her rampage. Will they survive?

Rich Bennett 16:14
are

Kayla Deickman 16:14
What

Rich Bennett 16:14
part

Kayla Deickman 16:15
raptor and what else?

Claudine Marcin 16:16
Rage

Rich Bennett 16:17
and what was the first thing you

Claudine Marcin 16:18
said human.

Rich Bennett 16:20
Where's the owl come in? Oh,

Claudine Marcin 16:23
is

Rich Bennett 16:23
Raptor

Claudine Marcin 16:23
a bird.

Rich Bennett 16:24
Hey, raptor. I'm thinking the

Claudine Marcin 16:25
dinosaur is a raptor. Not a lot.

Rich Bennett 16:27
Well, I'm thinking the dinosaur.

Claudine Marcin 16:29
You got a

Kayla Deickman 16:30
context

Claudine Marcin 16:30
that I look at the picture on the book.

Rich Bennett 16:32
I don't have the book in front of me, so I can't.

Claudine Marcin 16:34
and owls are raptors.

Rich Bennett 16:36
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 16:37
So because of their claws

Rich Bennett 16:38
for the people listening in case they didn't know because they may be thinking why is the Owl Witch is sure to be the dinosaur?

Claudine Marcin 16:45
So

Kayla Deickman 16:46
thinking that it was just

Claudine Marcin 16:47
That's

Kayla Deickman 16:47
you.

Claudine Marcin 16:48
just you. But so for this book, it's based in Maryland. But the air game mountain

Kayla Deickman 16:57
spake

Claudine Marcin 16:58
I made it up and air game mountains are

Rich Bennett 17:01
outside

Claudine Marcin 17:02
town that I made up also called Atlas, Maryland. So that's all fake.

Kayla Deickman 17:06
So don't be going to look for this place. It does not exist. Right.

Claudine Marcin 17:09
Like what's that? The Blair Witch

Kayla Deickman 17:11
Project.

Claudine Marcin 17:11
Absolutely. This is all fake. But but the owl, which is a real Native American legend.

Rich Bennett 17:20
Oh, okay.

Claudine Marcin 17:21
So I made up my own Native

Kayla Deickman 17:24
try

Claudine Marcin 17:25
American for this book, and I took the owl,

Kayla Deickman 17:29
and

Claudine Marcin 17:30
I changed it for

Kayla Deickman 17:32
my, because

Claudine Marcin 17:33
depending on the tribe that you that you investigate.

Rich Bennett 17:36
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 17:37
the Owl Witch legend

Kayla Deickman 17:38
is

Claudine Marcin 17:39
based on the tribe. They have their own version of it. So my

Kayla Deickman 17:43
tribe has their own version of it

Claudine Marcin 17:45
too. And they they were like a mountainous tribe. They lived in these

Kayla Deickman 17:49
mountains

Claudine Marcin 17:50
and range air game mountains. And the book starts in the Civil War.

Rich Bennett 17:54
Oh.

Claudine Marcin 17:56
So a Civil War soldier comes upon this village. He finds them and he falls in love. Well, he this girl from the village actually finds him, because he's. And she falls in love with him and brings him back to the tribe and, you know, convinces her dad to help him.

Rich Bennett 18:16
And,

Claudine Marcin 18:17
and then he's like, okay, fine. Once he's healthy, he's out of here. So they kick him out. Well, he's mad because he fell in love with her too.

he's kicked out, can't see her anymore. But he comes across some other Civil War soldiers, and they're all like, diserders from

Rich Bennett 18:35
So

Claudine Marcin 18:35
the war. They don't want to go back. And he's like, I know where we can go. And they go back to that tribe and wreak havoc on them. And this is when the Owl Witch is born.

Rich Bennett 18:47
When the Owl Witch is born?

Claudine Marcin 18:49
Yeah, because the girl that fell in love with him, she now wants to see her revenge on him. And she invokes the Owl Witch. And that's where, and she just brings her to life. And now she's trapped in this demon. And so it starts.

Kayla Deickman 19:11
It starts at about the point.

Claudine Marcin 19:14
And then it immediately jumps to present time. And so she, she goes back underground. And she lives underground and underground caves and just like, hibernates until somebody wakes her up. That pisses her off. And so she comes out and kills a bunch of people. And then she will go back underground. So this has been going on and on and on. and now Leslie and the wind they don't nobody knows about the Owl which though because it's a secret They keep it a secret So they come out there and they're trying to figure out so these

Rich Bennett 19:46
the two podcast women

Claudine Marcin 19:47
right so they are Their podcasts in this book is about Del Marva folk war Okay so they investigate things like the snally gaster Chessie the po toaster well bigfoot isn't unique

Rich Bennett 20:05
Thanks,

Claudine Marcin 20:06
to our area, but There's

Rich Bennett 20:08
been sightings of him out.

Claudine Marcin 20:09
He's not unique to our area.

Rich Bennett 20:12
He you're nicked up on it

Claudine Marcin 20:14
Not unique

They they look at

Rich Bennett 20:18
I don't know

Claudine Marcin 20:20
making up

Rich Bennett 20:21
words

Claudine Marcin 20:22
But they that's what they put into their podcast and so they heard about these miners from like the 80s That just Disappeared and they were they were working for the energy company which is also something I made up in the book that really exists

Rich Bennett 20:38
people don't work for the energy company.

Claudine Marcin 20:40
This

Rich Bennett 20:40
That's made up

Claudine Marcin 20:41
this

energy company. I made up. So they they just you know they were mining

Rich Bennett 20:49
Right.

Claudine Marcin 20:49
and everything and and just vanished and So these girls were like, well, I wonder I wonder what that's about So they go out to this town and they start trying to talk to people They do go out to Frostburg state

Rich Bennett 21:01
Oh Civic

Claudine Marcin 21:02
they go out there and they talked to somebody out there and

Trying to get to the bottom of it and then this all just culminates in the mountains because she's loose at the same time She just happens to be woken up by some You know hikers and they want to go Splunking in this cave and they wake her up unsuspectingly and so she's out at the same time these girls show up And now everything just comes to a head

Rich Bennett 21:28
How much research did you put into

Claudine Marcin 21:30
it? A lot so I I research the legend

and I'm like because I didn't want to do Um when do you go that's the one you always hear about? I didn't want to do that I wanted to do something that you know people hadn't heard about before And so and I love owls owls are my thing So I was like, let's do it and I didn't want to Use a tribe that really exists

Rich Bennett 21:57
Right

Claudine Marcin 21:58
because then you get into some tricky situations And

Rich Bennett 22:00
more research

Claudine Marcin 22:01
Well

Rich Bennett 22:02
Put something wrong in there somebody we'll call you

Claudine Marcin 22:05
on

Rich Bennett 22:05
out

Claudine Marcin 22:05
exactly so I made up my own tribe You know and I made up a little bit of their language that I could use in the book not a lot and um and then just You know going and researching where a frostburg is what that area looks like, you know things like that so there's some Police officers in the book. There's a main character. That's one of the police officers one of the sheriff's team and then There's a medical officer or a medical examiner or whatever and um some

Rangers that work in the mountains so one of

You know Caucasian and the other one is just Uh a jerk But but he gets redeemed he'll get redeemed in the book, but um Yeah, and then the podcasters are fun I loved those two characters their whole areas And uh their twins, but they don't look alike so that makes them even cooler

Rich Bennett 23:06
you ever get in contact

Kayla Deickman 23:07
Did

Rich Bennett 23:07
with the real podcasters and tell them

Kayla Deickman 23:09
this?

Rich Bennett 23:09
about

Claudine Marcin 23:10
They knew I was doing it from the start

Rich Bennett 23:11
Okay,

Claudine Marcin 23:12
I asked their permission

Rich Bennett 23:13
right

Claudine Marcin 23:13
if I could base the characters on them, but they are not twins

Rich Bennett 23:17
Okay,

Claudine Marcin 23:18
so but um in the book there are twins and I change their names

Rich Bennett 23:23
And have

Claudine Marcin 23:23
changed your names to protect the innocent

Rich Bennett 23:24
Have you been on their podcast yet? No Why not

Claudine Marcin 23:28
I know that they'd have any guests on their podcast so there's a book club

Rich Bennett 23:32
Oh, okay

Claudine Marcin 23:33
So they talk about the books that they read and um

Rich Bennett 23:36
Do you send them a copy at least?

Claudine Marcin 23:38
Uh I have not not yet

Rich Bennett 23:40
You need to send them

Claudine Marcin 23:41
soon I

Rich Bennett 23:41
a copy

Claudine Marcin 23:41
haven't been I haven't talked to them in a while, so

Rich Bennett 23:44
So Claudine

Claudine Marcin 23:46
We'll get in touch with them

Rich Bennett 23:48
Quit looking at me like that Kayla

Kayla Deickman 23:50
Not everyone is you rich

Rich Bennett 23:55
Yeah, I can't wait to read I can't wait to read

Claudine Marcin 23:57
See I was gonna bring you a copy, but you didn't read the last books I gave you so

Rich Bennett 24:03
Because they were

Kayla Deickman 24:03
Yeah

Rich Bennett 24:03
stolen

Claudine Marcin 24:05
By your daughter so they're still in your house

Rich Bennett 24:07
Yeah, well, yeah

Kayla Deickman 24:08
that does not count books are a family matter

Rich Bennett 24:11
Look I have authors give me books all the time and I still have them all I do

Claudine Marcin 24:15
and you don't read them

Kayla Deickman 24:16
did I ever give you

Rich Bennett 24:16
Because

Kayla Deickman 24:16
book?

Rich Bennett 24:17
do you know how many books I have Yes, you do I believe you do do you have any books I have I have

Claudine Marcin 24:23
Yeah, why need his

Kayla Deickman 24:24
help

Claudine Marcin 24:24
voices get

Rich Bennett 24:25
I got three huge toots filled

Claudine Marcin 24:29
books.

Rich Bennett 24:29
with

Claudine Marcin 24:29
Tiger

Kayla Deickman 24:29
juice.

Claudine Marcin 24:30
when he's

Rich Bennett 24:30
alive.

Kayla Deickman 24:30
Juice

Rich Bennett 24:30
Juice

Kayla Deickman 24:30
juice. Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 24:31
Over

Kayla Deickman 24:31
Over it.

Claudine Marcin 24:32
it.

Kayla Deickman 24:33
So, when he starts to act, whiny, have you ever noticed that? 'Cause I've noticed that a lot.

Claudine Marcin 24:37
Good

Rich Bennett 24:38
thing nobody can hear you. Could

Claudine Marcin 24:44
you bring her up that mute button?

Rich Bennett 24:47
Yeah, I think you're gonna write a book like

Kayla Deickman 24:50
that.

Rich Bennett 24:50
Yeah. Yeah, hard,

Kayla Deickman 24:51
I'm not writing a horror, I told you the last time I was with you with a horror author. I don't, that's not my cup of tea. Uhm,

Rich Bennett 25:01
moot, hard, uh,

Kayla Deickman 25:01
I am the chicken. Bok-bok.

Rich Bennett 25:03
You like,

Claudine Marcin 25:04
See,

Rich Bennett 25:04
you like the

Claudine Marcin 25:04
and that's

Rich Bennett 25:04
f*ck,

Claudine Marcin 25:05
funny

Rich Bennett 25:05
you like, you like, the

Claudine Marcin 25:05
because,

Rich Bennett 25:05
f*ck, you like stuff.

Claudine Marcin 25:06
well, and when I was younger, I used to love watching horror and reading horror, and so now, I, I can't really watch the horror movies, I'll see previews on TV and I'm like, no, absolutely

Rich Bennett 25:18
These

Claudine Marcin 25:18
not.

Rich Bennett 25:18
horror

Claudine Marcin 25:18
these f*cks,

Rich Bennett 25:19
movies,

Claudine Marcin 25:19
they're so easy. But, but, in order to write, the house on Woody Creek Lane, I was like, okay, I have to get myself, like, in that mindset. So I tried to watch some horror movies, just to like, you know, get the feel of it again and I want to create, I, I try to create that, that creep factor in the books. So like, in Jaws, right, for example, which is great because Jaws, they're going to re-release it this year. So in Jaws, how long did it take

Rich Bennett 25:52
>>

Claudine Marcin 25:52
for

Rich Bennett 25:52

Claudine Marcin 25:52
us?

Rich Bennett 25:52
re-release

Claudine Marcin 25:53
Yes.

Rich Bennett 25:53
it, not, they're not doing the

Claudine Marcin 25:55
>>

Rich Bennett 25:55
movie.

Claudine Marcin 25:55
No, re-release

Rich Bennett 25:56
>> Good.

Claudine Marcin 25:57
because it's like, they're 50th

Rich Bennett 25:58
>>

Claudine Marcin 25:58
anniversary or

Rich Bennett 25:58
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 25:58
something,

Rich Bennett 25:59
>> Jesus.

Claudine Marcin 25:59
but uhm,

Kayla Deickman 26:01
I make you feel rich?

Claudine Marcin 26:03
Watch it, Kayla. I saw it originally. But, uhm, so they, but in Jaws, it takes forever for us to see the shark.

Rich Bennett 26:14
>> Right.

Kayla Deickman 26:15
>> Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 26:15
>> All we ever do is we hear the music, you know, and the thrashing and all that stuff, but we don't see them. So in my books, I want to create that feeling, I want you to be like, oh my god, right, especially in the alwitch, I tried really hard to create that, that same sort of feeling in the alwitch. So little by little in the book, you see more and more of her.

Rich Bennett 26:39
>> Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 26:39
>> Right. Until you finally see the full picture, I mean, she's on the cover, but in the book, you don't really get the full force of her until towards the end, but I give her a certain sound effect in the book, just like in Jaws. So there's a sound that's associated with the alwitch, and so while you're reading the book, the sound is in the book and you're like, oh crap, she's here, she's here, she's here. You start to learn, it's conditioning you. So when you hear it, you know she's around, but there's another thing in the book makes the same sound. So I try to confuse the reader because then they think, well, crap, well, crap, she's here, and it's, it's like a trick at certain points, so she might be there or she might not. So I try to give that feeling and, you know, you know she's coming, but the person that's about to get slashed has no idea she's there.

Rich Bennett 27:37
>> Is, is the book in audio format?

Claudine Marcin 27:39
>> No.

Rich Bennett 27:40
>> Is, that God, with whose sounds?

Claudine Marcin 27:43
>> Right.

Rich Bennett 27:44
>> Damn. So,

Claudine Marcin 27:45
were you recorded for me?

Rich Bennett 27:46
>> Self-published, right?

Claudine Marcin 27:48
>> Yeah.

Rich Bennett 27:48
>> I know a guy, a guy that could probably be very good at doing it.

Claudine Marcin 27:52
>> Okay, cool.

Rich Bennett 27:53
>> Of course, I don't know, he's probably expensive, but. >>

Claudine Marcin 27:57
It is expensive to do an audiobook, which is why I haven't done it yet. >> There's ways to get around it, like I could read it myself,

Rich Bennett 28:04
>> Right.

Claudine Marcin 28:05
which, I mean, I'd. >>

Rich Bennett 28:06
But with a novel, yet means you've got to do the different characters too.

Claudine Marcin 28:10
>> Exactly, which would be very hard, and then you have to, there's a lot of editing involved in that. You have to enunciate, I would be terrible at reading my own book, because I don't enunciate very well. But there is, this is very controversial, there's a way you can do it using AI. It would only be like, $500, probably. But that's something that we don't

Rich Bennett 28:37
>>

Claudine Marcin 28:37
do.

Rich Bennett 28:37
You could also do it more or less like they did in the old days with the old radio shoes, like, drag met and all.

Claudine Marcin 28:44
>> Chapter books, just

Rich Bennett 28:45
chapter. >>

Claudine Marcin 28:46
read a

Rich Bennett 28:46
You can bring, like what we're doing here. If you know a particular person, that you personally know that you think would be good for that character. >> Bring new people in and have them sit.

Claudine Marcin 28:58
>> Unsemble?

Rich Bennett 28:59
>> Yeah, or they just, they can even record it separately so that you could piece it together. >> Yeah. >> Or, you know,

Claudine Marcin 29:06
>> Have a narrator and then

Rich Bennett 29:08
yeah.

Claudine Marcin 29:08
people to read the different characters, it would be fun.

Rich Bennett 29:10
All right, John cluig, if you're listening, contact me, because I think you'd be awesome at narrating this, probably even doing some characters, too. Man, ehm, uhm, this

Kayla Deickman 29:23
good. If

Rich Bennett 29:23
isn't

Kayla Deickman 29:23
you're gonna, you're gonna take your beard off if you keep doing that.

Rich Bennett 29:26
I can't wait to read,

Kayla Deickman 29:27
just,

Rich Bennett 29:27
this when you started.

Claudine Marcin 29:29
Shoulda brought it. I was gonna bring it, and I'm like, he's not-

Rich Bennett 29:32
I know, I love, it's weird, I'm getting,

Kayla Deickman 29:35
getting to read

Rich Bennett 29:36
and

Kayla Deickman 29:36
more

Rich Bennett 29:36
more and more. And remember how I- I don't know if I told you

Kayla Deickman 29:40
before.

Rich Bennett 29:40
Because I- I can never

Kayla Deickman 29:41
understand

Rich Bennett 29:42
somebody can read

Kayla Deickman 29:43
more and more and more books at a time or- Oh.

Rich Bennett 29:45
I'm reading.

Kayla Deickman 29:46
I'm guilty as charged. I'm

Rich Bennett 29:48
reading four different books right now.

Claudine Marcin 29:51
Oh my god.

Rich Bennett 29:52
All different types, though. So I'm so re-indulged all of success, so that's more or less, I guess you could say, a self-help

Claudine Marcin 29:58
book.

Rich Bennett 29:58
I'm reading a daily poetry book that my daughter got me. I'm reading one, I just bought it at the book fair. I had to get it because it's called "The Santa Heist." And I'm reading one that my son, and I'm just gonna say- well they're not married, but I'm gonna say my daughter all got me about Jim Jones. And the people's temple.

Claudine Marcin 30:19
Okay.

Rich Bennett 30:19
Holy cow.

Claudine Marcin 30:21
Wow.

Rich Bennett 30:21
That is, that that book is very, very good. Talking about scary. So, I mean, yeah, I can- I'm learning how- now I would not be able

Kayla Deickman 30:33
to read like two

Rich Bennett 30:35
No, I was able to just see

Kayla Deickman 30:37
typet.

Rich Bennett 30:37
them type at the

Claudine Marcin 30:37
Right.

Rich Bennett 30:37
time. I would not be able to do

Claudine Marcin 30:38
Susie got the house on Woody Creek Lane.

Rich Bennett 30:42
Oh, she did- as the one she got? For faith? The one that you signed for faith?

Claudine Marcin 30:47
Did I sign it for faith?

Rich Bennett 30:48
I believe

Claudine Marcin 30:48
Remember,

Rich Bennett 30:49
so.

Claudine Marcin 30:49
I can't remember, and, uh,

Rich Bennett 30:52
Faith is my nieces,

Claudine Marcin 30:53
but- they don't have this one.

Kayla Deickman 30:54
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 30:55
they don't have this one.

Rich Bennett 30:56
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 30:57
This one is a slasher book, so the outwitch is slasher and it's gory. Versus

Kayla Deickman 31:03
house.

Claudine Marcin 31:04
the

Kayla Deickman 31:05
Glayne,

Claudine Marcin 31:06
which is paranoid

Kayla Deickman 31:07
paranormal and

Claudine Marcin 31:08
and not

Kayla Deickman 31:08
not gory.

Rich Bennett 31:09
But the cool thing with the outwitch, from what the way you explained it, even though it's not-

Claudine Marcin 31:16
Spake.

Rich Bennett 31:17
Yeah, but I mean,

Claudine Marcin 31:18
One

Rich Bennett 31:19
shit like

Claudine Marcin 31:19
of-

Rich Bennett 31:19
that. I

Claudine Marcin 31:19
Well,

Rich Bennett 31:20
love.

Claudine Marcin 31:20
and one of the parts I really liked, so it's not really given anything away. But the civil war soldier that I talked about. So the civil war soldier that falls in love

Kayla Deickman 31:31
with

Claudine Marcin 31:32
the girl, the

Kayla Deickman 31:32
girl tried.

Claudine Marcin 31:34
He's a

Kayla Deickman 31:35
conveyed soldier

Claudine Marcin 31:37
and so I did some history on- or research, sorry, on the civil war at that time. Like, so it starts before you hear you, you can see entries in his journal

Kayla Deickman 31:49
before the war starts.

Claudine Marcin 31:51
So I was like writing journal entries of his, in his voice, right? So I'm trying to like imagine what this man might be thinking about the war and what was happening at that time. And so you see his entries and I'm trying to write it as a man from the 1860s, right? I'm like, how did they talk? And so that was really fun writing that. And then he goes off to war and his journal entries continue. And so you see more of his entries while he's at war when he meets this woman, Alba from the tribe, and when he's excommunicated from the tribe by her father and his entries, then he's angry because he was in love with her. And so I wrote these entries and the podcasters get a look at what was in his journal because

Rich Bennett 32:48
Right.

Claudine Marcin 32:48
the journal was actually found by some archaeologists and it's at Frostburg State University. They have a

Kayla Deickman 32:55
it

Claudine Marcin 32:55
copy of

Rich Bennett 32:56
in the book,

Claudine Marcin 32:57
in the book,

Rich Bennett 32:57
yeah,

Claudine Marcin 32:57
because it's all fake.

Rich Bennett 32:58
right

Claudine Marcin 32:58
But so they let they don't give the girls the book. They can't do that. But they the the journal entries were like electronic and, you know, on a PDF or whatever and they sent it to them. So they could read it

Rich Bennett 33:11
microfilm. Remember that shit.

Claudine Marcin 33:13
Yeah, but it wasn't

Rich Bennett 33:14
a.

You don't know remind Kate,

Kayla Deickman 33:17
we're

Claudine Marcin 33:18
getting weird looks from Kayla now. yes, this was a thing. Look it up on Google. But so they get they get to read those. So you see it in the in the book. What they're what his entries were. So it was fun writing, just trying to figure out how this man

Rich Bennett 33:35
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 33:35
would because they spoke very differently from how we speak today. And so that was fun. I liked doing that, you know, and just the different, the different characters because the podcasters, they're in their

Kayla Deickman 33:50
30s, gone.

Claudine Marcin 33:52
they're So, they're very different. And then you've

Rich Bennett 33:58
then you've got the-- Kala's

Claudine Marcin 33:59
got,

Rich Bennett 34:00
peeping up.

Claudine Marcin 34:00
And they're tattooed, you know, everything. So, and then I've got the hotel manager, so she's a different character and then the sheriff and he's got this receptionist in the sheriff's office that's in love with him, you know, and so you can see that dynamic, but it's really, it's really cool, there's a big cast of characters in there. The rain,

Kayla Deickman 34:26
that's a jerk,

Claudine Marcin 34:27
that's a jerk. And the, the woman that's a deputy,

Kayla Deickman 34:29
with the sheriff's office,

Claudine Marcin 34:31
they have an on again, off again, love affair going on, right? So you've got that dynamic. But there's just

Kayla Deickman 34:37
not that kind of book, Rich, get your mind out of the

Claudine Marcin 34:41
not

Kayla Deickman 34:41
gutter.

Rich Bennett 34:43
So, is there a sequel to this? Is there going to be a

Claudine Marcin 34:46
sequel? Well, it won't be a sequel, but I think what I can do is take some characters from

Kayla Deickman 34:52
this book

Claudine Marcin 34:53
and some characters from the

Kayla Deickman 34:54
house,

Claudine Marcin 34:55
pre-clean and bring them together into another adventure.

Kayla Deickman 34:58
I like that.

Claudine Marcin 35:00
Because there's characters that I really liked and I would like to them again.

Rich Bennett 35:03
All right, so, I don't know if you've done this or if you even thought about it, but I'm seeing more authors do this. Have you looked into putting a trailer together for this?

Kayla Deickman 35:14
You

Claudine Marcin 35:15

Kayla Deickman 35:15
should.

Claudine Marcin 35:15
did do a trailer for the house of Woody Creek Lane.

Rich Bennett 35:18
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 35:19
And, and it was really easy to do. I went out on Canva and got lucky. They had one already built

Kayla Deickman 35:28
up,

Claudine Marcin 35:29
Yeah. And all I did is change the words. Because words would pop up on the screen

Rich Bennett 35:33
yeah.

Claudine Marcin 35:34
and, and it had music attached to it already. And I put it out and it worked really well. I have not done that for the Owl Witch. I, here's my big confession. So, last year while writing the Owl Witch, I was starting to get a little burnt out.

Rich Bennett 35:49
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 35:49
Not writing book. I loved this story. It was basically already written, but

Kayla Deickman 35:54
I was getting

Claudine Marcin 35:54
burnt out on a lot of the things that authors have to

Kayla Deickman 35:58
do behind the,

Claudine Marcin 35:59
I had,

Rich Bennett 36:00
the morning

Claudine Marcin 36:00
I was posting every day. I was doing a newsletter every month, you know, going to the events, writing every day, and working, you know. So I was just getting burnt out on all of

Rich Bennett 36:15
being

Claudine Marcin 36:16
it,

Rich Bennett 36:16
an author preneurs

Claudine Marcin 36:16
and

Rich Bennett 36:16
a lot of hard work, people don't realize

Claudine Marcin 36:18
It is. It is. And I, I was, I was at this like really hard

Rich Bennett 36:24
it.

Claudine Marcin 36:24
since 2019.

Rich Bennett 36:27
Wow.

Claudine Marcin 36:28
You know, because I was

Rich Bennett 36:30
writing Owl Witch.

Claudine Marcin 36:31
No.

Rich Bennett 36:31
Oh, you

Claudine Marcin 36:31
Cuz.

Rich Bennett 36:32
mean just

Kayla Deickman 36:32
writing.

Rich Bennett 36:33
Writing.

Claudine Marcin 36:33
Right. Because I, I started writing my first novel years before 2019.

Rich Bennett 36:40
Right.

Claudine Marcin 36:40
But it was taking me a

Kayla Deickman 36:41
long time to figure out

Claudine Marcin 36:43
whole story. And

Kayla Deickman 36:44
in

Claudine Marcin 36:45
so

Kayla Deickman 36:45
2019,

Claudine Marcin 36:46
I really went hard at it and published it in 2020, and then I just wrote

Kayla Deickman 36:53
just

Claudine Marcin 36:53
kept continuing because that was the four part series.

Rich Bennett 36:57
Co-VT at right more time to write.

Claudine Marcin 37:00
Co-VT didn't affect me. I was already a tele worker.

Rich Bennett 37:03
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 37:04
I mean, I had been working with Rome since 2009.

Rich Bennett 37:07
oh.

Claudine Marcin 37:07
So I was like, welcome to my world, everybody.

Rich Bennett 37:10
So

Claudine Marcin 37:10
I was

Kayla Deickman 37:11
already doing it. Enjoyed being at home.

Claudine Marcin 37:13
I was already doing it. So it, it was no big deal for me. But I was just, now I was working all day and then continuing my. Computer by writing.

Rich Bennett 37:23
Right.

Claudine Marcin 37:23
So it was just, and then going to events, going to the writer's conference, you know, talking to other writers and burning All the stuff. And I just got really tired. And I didn't have writer's block. I just had

Rich Bennett 37:39
out.

Claudine Marcin 37:39
exhaustion burnout. And I'm still trying to get back to it.

Rich Bennett 37:47
But do you want to get back it the way you were? Because you don't want to burn yourself

Claudine Marcin 37:50
out. No. And now, and because I was burnt out, I started taking up other hobbies. other things. So I've got all these other interests going on in my life right now. And I want to find that balance between

Rich Bennett 38:06
And

Claudine Marcin 38:06
of it.

Kayla Deickman 38:07
I feel you in my soul.

Claudine Marcin 38:12
So now I do pickleball.

Kayla Deickman 38:14
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 38:15
I'm a painter also.

Rich Bennett 38:18
When did you start

Claudine Marcin 38:19
I've been a painter. I've been an artist

Kayla Deickman 38:21
that? We,

Claudine Marcin 38:21
since

Rich Bennett 38:21
oh,

Claudine Marcin 38:22

Rich Bennett 38:22
that's

Claudine Marcin 38:22
was a

Rich Bennett 38:22
right.

Claudine Marcin 38:22
kid.

Rich Bennett 38:22
Do you remember I'm, yeah.

Claudine Marcin 38:24
But, but

Kayla Deickman 38:24
should get

Claudine Marcin 38:25
we

Kayla Deickman 38:25
in touch about

Claudine Marcin 38:26
Well, I'm going have some paintings at the art festival on Sunday, with me. I took some with me the last time I was at the Bell Air Market.

Kayla Deickman 38:33
that.

Claudine Marcin 38:34
And I sold two paintings.

Kayla Deickman 38:35
Nice.

Claudine Marcin 38:35
So I'm going to have some more with me. I'll show you some of my work. I've got them on my phone. And I'm going to start taking Thai Kwando starting October 6.

Kayla Deickman 38:44
Ooh.

Rich Bennett 38:45
You know, as someone who runs Booth, Hartford County Living, and of course, my podcast, Conversations with Rich Bennett, marketing is critical. I've had plenty of companies approach me over the years. But Clevercat marketing, they're different. Why? It's simple. They actually care about you. Not just your business. When I partnered with Clevercat, it wasn't about numbers or profit margins. It was about a genuine relationship, understanding my vision, and building strategies that truly resonate with my audience. They're focused on client success over profit, really sets them apart. They take the time to learn what's important to you, and craft solutions that fit your needs, not a cookie cutter approach, whether it's social media, SEO, or brand strategy, I trust Clevercat with all my marketing needs. So if you're looking for a marketing company that puts you first, reach out to Clevercat. You won't regret it. Visit clever-cat.com and experience the difference for yourself.

Claudine Marcin 39:54
plus, I like to belly dance. So I've been taking a belly dance class up at Hartford Community College for like over two years. And I signed up

Kayla Deickman 40:04
And

Claudine Marcin 40:04
again.

Rich Bennett 40:05
I didn't know Harvard Community College told belly dancing.

Claudine Marcin 40:07
Well, they don't teach it per se.

Rich Bennett 40:10
Well, they have a class.

Claudine Marcin 40:11
It's a belly dance instructor comes in and sh--

Rich Bennett 40:14

Claudine Marcin 40:14
have a class there.

Rich Bennett 40:15
knew that.

Claudine Marcin 40:16
So it's

Kayla Deickman 40:17
No, you don't

Claudine Marcin 40:18
part of their non-credit

Rich Bennett 40:19
program. Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 40:20
So like community enrichment. And so I've been taking that forever. And I signed up again, but we didn't get enough people to sign up. So it's not

Kayla Deickman 40:28
happening. Aww.

Claudine Marcin 40:29
I know. I

Kayla Deickman 40:31
Who'd

Claudine Marcin 40:31
could go

Kayla Deickman 40:31
go

Claudine Marcin 40:31
to

Kayla Deickman 40:31
to?

Claudine Marcin 40:31
his day, but that would interfere with pick--

Rich Bennett 40:35
You could start your own thing. belly dance and pickle ball.

Claudine Marcin 40:39
It could be. There's a game out there. It's a pickle ball, card game, right? So you take it to pickle ball. And when you pull the card out, the card will tell you what you have to do. So you and your partner have to hold hands while you play. And then you have to hold hands while you're playing. Or it'll say something else. And I sent it to my friends.

Rich Bennett 40:58
That could be fun.

Claudine Marcin 40:59
I made-- yes, I saw the video. It's hilarious. I made a lot of new friends playing pickle ball. And we go out and do things together, not just pickle ball, but we always

Kayla Deickman 41:10
two

Claudine Marcin 41:10
play like

Kayla Deickman 41:10
things.

Rich Bennett 41:11
Health wise, you feel a lot better, too.

Claudine Marcin 41:14
Oh yeah. And it's an impact sport, which is really great for your bones, especially because we're getting a little bit older. But you want to keep yourself in shape. So--

Rich Bennett 41:27
quiet.

Kayla Deickman 41:27
Be

Rich Bennett 41:27
Why are you guys looking at me when you say we're getting a

Claudine Marcin 41:30
bit older?

Rich Bennett 41:30
little

Claudine Marcin 41:30
I said we--

Rich Bennett 41:32
OK, ain't she

Claudine Marcin 41:33

Rich Bennett 41:33
nothing but--

Claudine Marcin 41:33
didn't look at you. My age

Kayla Deickman 41:37
is--

Claudine Marcin 41:37
in my

Kayla Deickman 41:37
I'm

Claudine Marcin 41:38
head

Kayla Deickman 41:38
not 25.

Claudine Marcin 41:39
I'm 23

Rich Bennett 41:40
my head. I

Claudine Marcin 41:40
in

Rich Bennett 41:40
still feel like I'm 25.

Claudine Marcin 41:42
My brain

Kayla Deickman 41:42
Well,

Claudine Marcin 41:42
says--

Kayla Deickman 41:42
don't look at me that.

Claudine Marcin 41:44
But when I play four hours of pickle ball sometimes, my body says you are not 23 anymore.

Kayla Deickman 41:49
My body does that anyway.

Claudine Marcin 41:51
Because normally, when we go to play pickle ball, it's two hours, right? But sometimes I'll sign up for back-to-back.

Kayla Deickman 41:57
And then

Claudine Marcin 41:58
you play from five to seven, and

Kayla Deickman 41:59
7,

Claudine Marcin 41:59
then--

Kayla Deickman 42:00
9, 7, 9.

Rich Bennett 42:00
Straight?

Claudine Marcin 42:01
Yes.

Kayla Deickman 42:02
That's insane.

Rich Bennett 42:02
No breaks?

Claudine Marcin 42:04
Well, sometimes you're a sit-out.

Rich Bennett 42:06
Oh, OK.

Claudine Marcin 42:07
Because the game

Rich Bennett 42:08
Here

Claudine Marcin 42:08
goes--

Rich Bennett 42:08
to be a sit-out.

Claudine Marcin 42:09
The game goes to 11 points. And then there might be people sitting down waiting to

Rich Bennett 42:15
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 42:15
play, so you might have to come

Kayla Deickman 42:16
You're

Claudine Marcin 42:16
off-- only going to be out for a couple of minutes, and then you're back in. Because another game will end and you're back in. But I'll play for four hours sometimes. And--

Rich Bennett 42:25
I'll

Kayla Deickman 42:26
Hi.

Rich Bennett 42:26
stick-- The

Claudine Marcin 42:27

Rich Bennett 42:27
game--

Claudine Marcin 42:27
go sit in my car, and I'm just like--

Kayla Deickman 42:30
I can only imagine you playing cards against humanity. I can only imagine that. No.

Rich Bennett 42:37
Oh, we play a lot of those card games a lot, and then my

Claudine Marcin 42:41

Rich Bennett 42:41
wife

Claudine Marcin 42:41
love

Rich Bennett 42:41
just

Claudine Marcin 42:41
cards.

Rich Bennett 42:41
got a--

Kayla Deickman 42:41

Rich Bennett 42:42
games.

Kayla Deickman 42:42
like

Rich Bennett 42:42
Strowing,

Kayla Deickman 42:42
card

Rich Bennett 42:42
so we do X throwing--

Claudine Marcin 42:43
I love X throwing.

Rich Bennett 42:45
She didn't get us real axes, of course.

Kayla Deickman 42:47
No one would trust you with a sharp implement.

Claudine Marcin 42:49
You have to go to the Root 22 Hatchet House.

Rich Bennett 42:53
I've heard about that.

Claudine Marcin 42:54
That is the best place to go throw axes. I love them. Because I've been to other places in the area. But

Rich Bennett 43:01
Those are--

Claudine Marcin 43:02
that one's the

Rich Bennett 43:02
And

Claudine Marcin 43:02
best--

Rich Bennett 43:02
the rage rooms

Kayla Deickman 43:03
There's a

Rich Bennett 43:03
are a big

Kayla Deickman 43:04
rage

Rich Bennett 43:04
thing.

Kayla Deickman 43:04
room that's right by my tattoo artist in Falsten.

Claudine Marcin 43:09
Give me that.

Kayla Deickman 43:10
I'll give you the address. It's awesome.

Claudine Marcin 43:13
The other day, I was at my desk, and I was like, I need to hit something right now. I'll make my own rage room in the basement.

Kayla Deickman 43:19
Yeah. People might look at you a little crazy, though,

Rich Bennett 43:23
When?

Kayla Deickman 43:23
so.

Claudine Marcin 43:24
If I'm

Kayla Deickman 43:24
it,

Claudine Marcin 43:24
doing

Kayla Deickman 43:25
stop. Mmm,

Claudine Marcin 43:26
are you trying to say something?

Rich Bennett 43:27
No, no, just get ready, uh, no,

Kayla Deickman 43:29
Nope.

Rich Bennett 43:29
just get ready to bring up something else,

Kayla Deickman 43:31
uh-huh.

Claudine Marcin 43:31
That'll be wise.

Kayla Deickman 43:33
Smart decisions make smart decisions.

Claudine Marcin 43:36
I'm gonna pull my axe out of my bag over here.

Kayla Deickman 43:40
You would ehm, I'm not.

Claudine Marcin 43:42
In my teeth.

Rich Bennett 43:45
Alright, so I can't believe I'm about to do this.

Kayla Deickman 43:49
Yes, do it Rich, say it.

Say what we want

Rich Bennett 43:55
say.

Kayla Deickman 43:55
you to

Rich Bennett 43:56
Are working on another book as well, right?

Claudine Marcin 44:00
Yes, I am.

Kayla Deickman 44:01
Can you tell me all about

Rich Bennett 44:03
God!

Kayla Deickman 44:03
this other book?

Rich Bennett 44:04
I- I do. I knew

Kayla Deickman 44:06
And

Rich Bennett 44:06
Caleb.

Kayla Deickman 44:06
can we please make Rich 50 shades of red?

Claudine Marcin 44:09
Yes!

Rich Bennett 44:10
Why?

Claudine Marcin 44:10
Great!

Rich Bennett 44:11
What about 50 shades?

Claudine Marcin 44:12
We're going to make you 50 shades of red when we start talking about, 'oh,

Rich Bennett 44:15
I'm

Claudine Marcin 44:15
now.'

Rich Bennett 44:15
used to it

Claudine Marcin 44:16
Are you ready? So I'm now working on a smart novel which all of my friends very excited

Kayla Deickman 44:23
Yay!

Claudine Marcin 44:23
because none of them want to read the horror or the sci-fi mystery, but some of them are like, 'I will read your smart.'

Kayla Deickman 44:29

Rich Bennett 44:29
Make it

Kayla Deickman 44:29
fine or a

Rich Bennett 44:30
fine or a fine spot.

Claudine Marcin 44:31
No,

Kayla Deickman 44:31
no.

Claudine Marcin 44:33
So this will be a smart novel and I've decided to write it because of my online dating experience, I think.

Kayla Deickman 44:41
A lot

Claudine Marcin 44:42
fun to throw in some of these stories because

Kayla Deickman 44:44
of

Claudine Marcin 44:46
I mean the guys that are out there that you meet in the online dating- Shoo!

Kayla Deickman 44:51
I- I will say I'm very glad that I kind of missed all of that. I- I- I- I've been married eleven years. I never experienced that. Like, when I liked-

Claudine Marcin 45:02
Stay married!

Kayla Deickman 45:03
I- I mean, I don't have any plans for that to change. I mean, my husband may- he might find me buried out back one day.

Claudine Marcin 45:09
But you'll still be married.

Kayla Deickman 45:10
Yeah, exactly. I don't have to experience the whole online crap.

Rich Bennett 45:14
Well, hold on, back up, back up, back up. You said, but with all the men out there on what about the women? Because there are some white jobs out there.

Claudine Marcin 45:24
are.

Rich Bennett 45:25
Okay, there

Kayla Deickman 45:25
and

Claudine Marcin 45:25
And-

Kayla Deickman 45:25
absolutely.

Claudine Marcin 45:26
I have heard about them on some of my dates because they tell me about them.

Rich Bennett 45:29
Okay,

Claudine Marcin 45:30
Because we all- we would ask each other what's your experience

Rich Bennett 45:33
right.

Claudine Marcin 45:33
has been out there. And, I mean, it's a trip. So I- I've been married twice. But I stayed out of the date

Rich Bennett 45:41
far right.

Kayla Deickman 45:44
That was kind

Claudine Marcin 45:45

Kayla Deickman 45:45
of a joke,

Claudine Marcin 45:46
stayed-

Kayla Deickman 45:47
Rich.

Claudine Marcin 45:47
I stayed

Rich Bennett 45:47
That's what

Claudine Marcin 45:47
out-

Rich Bennett 45:47
they say!

Claudine Marcin 45:49
So here's the shocker. So I stayed out of the dating world for seventeen years.

Rich Bennett 45:53
Jesus!

Claudine Marcin 45:54
Oh yeah, I was just like, you know, my second marriage, I was like, yeah, I don't need this anymore. Right. And I just stayed out of it. And a couple of my friends bullied me into dating. I will not name any.

Kayla Deickman 46:06
Don't you love gentle bullying?

Claudine Marcin 46:08
I know. Right. So I was bullied into it.

Kayla Deickman 46:11
And I

Claudine Marcin 46:12
started on the Facebook dating app.

Rich Bennett 46:15
Which I didn't know was a thing.

Kayla Deickman 46:17
Yes.

Claudine Marcin 46:18
And it's- it's free. It's totally free. And I've gotten lots of dates out of it. And so once I got started though, I'm not a quitter. So even though the first ones don't work out, I'm like, well, I gotta keep going. So it

Rich Bennett 46:35
makes for a good book. I've

Claudine Marcin 46:37
been got-

Kayla Deickman 46:37
Just call it research.

Claudine Marcin 46:40
I'm gathering lots of material. because

Kayla Deickman 46:43
It's

Claudine Marcin 46:43
um,

Kayla Deickman 46:43
just-

Claudine Marcin 46:43
okay.

Kayla Deickman 46:43
it's just lived

Rich Bennett 46:44
So what-

Kayla Deickman 46:44
in

Claudine Marcin 46:45
research. It's already turned in red!

Rich Bennett 46:46
So no

Claudine Marcin 46:47
no no

Rich Bennett 46:47
no

Claudine Marcin 46:47
no no! Turn in red!

Rich Bennett 46:48
I'll just see here thinking about-

Kayla Deickman 46:50
So are we talking-

Rich Bennett 46:51
No-

Kayla Deickman 46:51
research or research-

Rich Bennett 46:53
Well, though, I'm wondering-

Claudine Marcin 46:55
Girl,

Rich Bennett 46:55
with this online dating when you meet the guy, do you have him sign a release forum letting him know that this date may be used in a story?

Kayla Deickman 47:04
That's just-

Claudine Marcin 47:05
I went- So, okay, so I

Rich Bennett 47:07
Have

Claudine Marcin 47:07
didn't-

Rich Bennett 47:07
you first?

Claudine Marcin 47:08
I didn't realize until a few months ago that I wanted to do this. Okay.

Rich Bennett 47:13
Okay.

Claudine Marcin 47:14
Well, not even a few. Just maybe a couple. And when I bring it up to guys, oh yeah, I'm right in a smut novel now. They were like, can I give you some material?

Rich Bennett 47:23
They are! They are!

Claudine Marcin 47:27
They're offering it right up!

Kayla Deickman 47:28
Oh my lord.

Claudine Marcin 47:30
I had one person say to me, I had one person say, "You need inspiration."

Kayla Deickman 47:37
Did you tell him it's not a comedy?

Rich Bennett 47:39
Oh it could be. Oh the pencil who she hooks up

Claudine Marcin 47:44
with. Hey hey hey

Kayla Deickman 47:46
hey hey hey.

Claudine Marcin 47:47
Hey

Kayla Deickman 47:47
so

Rich Bennett 47:47
there

Kayla Deickman 47:48

Rich Bennett 47:48

Kayla Deickman 47:48
It's

Rich Bennett 47:48
so

Claudine Marcin 47:48

Kayla Deickman 47:48
sheet of a

Rich Bennett 47:49
There

Kayla Deickman 47:49
f*ck.

Rich Bennett 47:49
are Funny guys out

Claudine Marcin 47:51
I do

Rich Bennett 47:51
there.

Claudine Marcin 47:52
not do hookups.

Rich Bennett 47:54
I'm sorry.

Wait, what the hell is on

Kayla Deickman 47:56
So...

Rich Bennett 47:56
my baby? You're hooking up with a guy you mean online!

Kayla Deickman 47:58
Now, gah-up

Claudine Marcin 47:59
d-d-d-different,

Kayla Deickman 48:00
is

Claudine Marcin 48:00
then d-d-no.

Rich Bennett 48:02
What the hell's a difference?

Kayla Deickman 48:03
absolute-

Claudine Marcin 48:03
HOOKING

Kayla Deickman 48:04
not rich

Claudine Marcin 48:05
is you just get together to have sex. Dating is dating.

Rich Bennett 48:10
When the hell did that change?

Claudine Marcin 48:12
How

Kayla Deickman 48:12
old are you?

Claudine Marcin 48:13
You.

Kayla Deickman 48:15
That's been the case for a long time.

Claudine Marcin 48:19
there's,

Rich Bennett 48:20
I never,

Claudine Marcin 48:20
there's hookups

Kayla Deickman 48:21
and

Claudine Marcin 48:21
and

Kayla Deickman 48:21
then

Claudine Marcin 48:22
there's-

Kayla Deickman 48:22
there's dates.

Rich Bennett 48:22
I never called it hooking up back then.

Kayla Deickman 48:24
Okay, then...

Claudine Marcin 48:25
You're calling it hooking up now?

Rich Bennett 48:27
Well, I-

Kayla Deickman 48:27
That's called.

Rich Bennett 48:28
It wasn't considered at least I-

Kayla Deickman 48:32
You

Claudine Marcin 48:32
probably should stay married also.

Rich Bennett 48:34
I said once I get married, that's it. I don't- yeah.

Kayla Deickman 48:39
That's

Rich Bennett 48:39
a good shot.

Claudine Marcin 48:41
But so, yeah, it's-

Rich Bennett 48:43
I learned how the sleep went on hooking.

Claudine Marcin 48:46
Yeah, you better. But there's a lot of different guys out there, they will tell you, "Yes, I-I-I want a long time really."

Kayla Deickman 48:53
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 48:54
from

Kayla Deickman 48:54
and

Claudine Marcin 48:54
relationship too. But really, they're just trying to get you to dirty talk with them. Which, you know, when I first started this, oh, I'm all

Kayla Deickman 49:02
talk.

Claudine Marcin 49:02
about dirty Yes, I'll do it.

Kayla Deickman 49:05
You're

Claudine Marcin 49:05
You're

Kayla Deickman 49:05
an

Claudine Marcin 49:05
an awesome chat.

I-I love to talk dirty. Are you kidding me? Let's go! Let's go! And I-I have saved

Kayla Deickman 49:12
awesome

Claudine Marcin 49:12
some

Kayla Deickman 49:13
chat.

Claudine Marcin 49:13
chats because this is good material.

Kayla Deickman 49:16
Yes,

Claudine Marcin 49:17
I've got them in here. This is good stuff. And-

Kayla Deickman 49:20
That's what you got to do for research.

Claudine Marcin 49:22
Yeah, but I-I

Kayla Deickman 49:23
saved.

Claudine Marcin 49:23
had it Before I even knew I was going to write it, I'm like-

Kayla Deickman 49:27
We-we don't-

Claudine Marcin 49:30
I will admit, no

Kayla Deickman 49:32
No shame.

Claudine Marcin 49:32
shame.

But, uh, so yeah. But then, you know, with- As this would go on further, I'm like, "Okay, this is not working out. So I'd have to stop doing the dirty talk."

Kayla Deickman 49:41
I'm like, "Yeah, that's a boundary.

Claudine Marcin 49:42
You know I want to. Oh, I'll do it." No. Not yet. So I don't cry. I try to not cross that boundary anymore. But, um, I was reluctant to give out my phone number right away. I was like-

Right, this guy thought I was a catfisher because I wouldn't give him my phone number. I'm like-

Rich Bennett 50:03
What the hell is a catfisher?

Claudine Marcin 50:06
I'm pretending to be somebody. I'm not.

Rich Bennett 50:08
Really not?

Kayla Deickman 50:08
Okay, well,

Claudine Marcin 50:10
what's when you're pretending to be- there's a show actually on

Kayla Deickman 50:13
They're called

Claudine Marcin 50:13
TV.

Kayla Deickman 50:13
catfishes, MTV.

Rich Bennett 50:15
They're-

Kayla Deickman 50:15
You need to watch it.

Claudine Marcin 50:17
So you could be matched with- I could be matched with another woman, and I don't even know

Kayla Deickman 50:22
He's

Claudine Marcin 50:22
it.

Kayla Deickman 50:22
talking to a man.

Rich Bennett 50:23
Wait a minute, do you just say it's on MTV? When the hell did MTV start doing movies?

Claudine Marcin 50:27
They-

Kayla Deickman 50:28
It's not a

Claudine Marcin 50:28
Do

Kayla Deickman 50:28
movie.

Claudine Marcin 50:29
music videos anymore.

Kayla Deickman 50:31
It's not a movie. It's a show.

And catfish is a great TV show with niv.

Rich Bennett 50:39
All right. Wait a minute.

Claudine Marcin 50:41
You pretend to be somebody you're not.

Kayla Deickman 50:43
And for whatever reason.

No.

Rich Bennett 50:46
What the hell's the difference?

Claudine Marcin 50:46
So if you got on to the online dating and you

Kayla Deickman 50:50
match with

Claudine Marcin 50:51
a woman and you were all hot and heavy with this woman.

Kayla Deickman 50:53
But you-

Claudine Marcin 50:54
He's really a man.

Kayla Deickman 50:55
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 50:56
But you

Kayla Deickman 50:56
it.

Claudine Marcin 50:56
don't

Kayla Deickman 50:56
No

Claudine Marcin 50:56
know

Kayla Deickman 50:56
way.

Yes.

Rich Bennett 50:58
Oh, shit. That's been going on for a long time.

Kayla Deickman 51:00
And the name has been the same for a long time.

Rich Bennett 51:02
I don't remember that back in the AOL days. (laughs)

Again, that's before you--

Kayla Deickman 51:06
I had ALL, too.

Rich Bennett 51:07
Oh, okay.

Claudine Marcin 51:09
(laughs)

Rich Bennett 51:09
Catfish. I'm sorry. Good, good.

Kayla Deickman 51:12
Oh, my goodness, Rich.

Claudine Marcin 51:13
Yeah, so there's that.

He's

Kayla Deickman 51:15
only 30

Rich Bennett 51:16
okay?

Kayla Deickman 51:16
years,

Rich Bennett 51:16
Okay, so I don't know any of the shit.

Claudine Marcin 51:18
But then there's the ones, they also, like, this one guy matched with me, and he kept everything he said to me in the app. He would say Madam.

Kayla Deickman 51:28
Oh.

Claudine Marcin 51:29
Madam. He kept saying Madam. And I'm like,

Kayla Deickman 51:31
Oh.

Claudine Marcin 51:33
understand. And I wasn't playing along. I was not answering properly. And then he finally figured out I didn't know what was going on. He was looking for a dominant

Kayla Deickman 51:42
I'm a BDS.

Claudine Marcin 51:43
woman.

Rich Bennett 51:44
I don't

Claudine Marcin 51:44
And I'm like, "Uh, yeah, I'm not into that." So, that was an unmatched

Kayla Deickman 51:50
there.

Claudine Marcin 51:50
right

Kayla Deickman 51:50
That was

Rich Bennett 51:51
a young guy looking for a Cougar.

Claudine Marcin 51:53
Well, there's that,

Rich Bennett 51:54
Is

Claudine Marcin 51:54
too.

Rich Bennett 51:54
that still a thing?

Kayla Deickman 51:55
Yes.

Rich Bennett 51:55
Okay, all

Claudine Marcin 51:56
minute.

Rich Bennett 51:56
right, just one

Claudine Marcin 51:57
And

Kayla Deickman 51:57
I can go either way.

Claudine Marcin 51:58
Which is--

Rich Bennett 51:58
Huh?

Kayla Deickman 51:59
I can't

Rich Bennett 52:00
go either. What do you mean?

Claudine Marcin 52:01
I'm definitely no... gg, but I'm out there as a Cougar.

Kayla Deickman 52:05
Do

Claudine Marcin 52:06
Because

Kayla Deickman 52:06

Claudine Marcin 52:06
the 38-year-olds are coming to me all the time.

Rich Bennett 52:09
Wait, hold up, back up,

Kayla Deickman 52:10
Kayla.

Wait, wait.

That's

Claudine Marcin 52:12
called a November.

Kayla Deickman 52:14
Yeah, it's...

Claudine Marcin 52:16
When it's an older

Kayla Deickman 52:17
man, and the

Claudine Marcin 52:17
younger woman. But yeah, so,

Rich Bennett 52:20
Huh?

Kayla Deickman 52:21
Leonardo DiCaprio.

Claudine Marcin 52:23
It's an older...

The younger woman. That's the Madisember. Madisember or maybe whatever the hell it is. But it's an older woman with a younger guy. She's a Cougar.

Kayla Deickman 52:33
Yeah, because we're

Rich Bennett 52:34
out. It's a made decent. What

Kayla Deickman 52:36
the hell's

Claudine Marcin 52:37
something like

Kayla Deickman 52:37
that? Hey, yeah, there's a term.

Claudine Marcin 52:39
Remember I

Kayla Deickman 52:40
What

Rich Bennett 52:40
the hell's Leonardo DiCaprio got to do

Kayla Deickman 52:42
it?

Rich Bennett 52:42
with

Kayla Deickman 52:42
That was just me making a joke.

Rich Bennett 52:44
All right, so how much research has been going into this book?

Claudine Marcin 52:47
So I've been on the

Rich Bennett 52:49
I may chapters. Do you have research?

State could be a chapter. I don't

Kayla Deickman 52:58
Oh, that'd be a cool concept

Rich Bennett 52:59
know.

Kayla Deickman 53:00
to know

Claudine Marcin 53:01
Now see, I there's an interesting little thing that I'm gonna do with this, so I There's certain music that I associate with some of the men Certain songs, you know like, you know, it's something like that and so I'm putting the music in at the beginning of

Kayla Deickman 53:18
Oh, that's

Rich Bennett 53:19
the

Kayla Deickman 53:19
me. It's the that they can follow along with the

Claudine Marcin 53:21
right because there's

Kayla Deickman 53:22
I like

Claudine Marcin 53:22
like there's a certain song That might remind me of a certain guy, and so I will put that in there You don't have a song that reminds you of your wife

Rich Bennett 53:32
No, I do. I'm just

Claudine Marcin 53:33
So what I'm

Rich Bennett 53:34
you're

Claudine Marcin 53:34
saying.

Rich Bennett 53:34
just talking about the guys you date not guys. You've met as well because I'm afraid to ask what song

Kayla Deickman 53:39
Oh

Claudine Marcin 53:40
Right,

Rich Bennett 53:42
I shoot of me.

Claudine Marcin 53:44
we won't go there,

Rich Bennett 53:45
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 53:46
but yes We're just talking about the dating

Rich Bennett 53:48
guys, right? Okay,

Claudine Marcin 53:49
so and like January was like a totally fun month for me Because I had a lot of dates during that month different guys just

Rich Bennett 53:57
the

Claudine Marcin 53:57
one date

Rich Bennett 53:58
for those of you listening, you couldn't see it, but she was counting and she had to go to she passed her second hand

Claudine Marcin 54:04
One of One of the guys this was an interesting story. So one of the guys I see on the date and so I don't want different apps now So I met this guy

Kayla Deickman 54:13
hinge.

Claudine Marcin 54:13
on

Kayla Deickman 54:13
Oh good.

Claudine Marcin 54:14
And

Rich Bennett 54:14
uh, huh Okay

Claudine Marcin 54:15
Hinge has been good to me So I met this guy on hinge another dating app that you've never heard of but His pictures look great and he was Arabic, right? So we called him the Persian He was his pictures were hot, okay?

Kayla Deickman 54:32
pretty

Claudine Marcin 54:32
and

Kayla Deickman 54:32
boy

Claudine Marcin 54:33
Then I meet him in person and I realize his pictures were obviously like 10 years old So he did not look like he did

Kayla Deickman 54:42
and which is also a form of catfish

Claudine Marcin 54:44
also a

Kayla Deickman 54:44
of

Claudine Marcin 54:44
form

Kayla Deickman 54:44
Using pictures that don't like

Claudine Marcin 54:47
However, however, even though he did not look like he did and he said he was like 63 or something and I'm like, okay, I must've gotten a lot taller

Kayla Deickman 54:57
you

Claudine Marcin 54:58
Because you are not six three. Anyway, hold on rich So I meet up with the guy. We're in a restaurant. He's super romantic

Kayla Deickman 55:09

Claudine Marcin 55:10
mean holding my hand the entire time. I had this off the shoulder sweater on he's all kissing on my neck and shoulder area I'm like this is nice. We had a very intellectual conversation it was great and Then he says you want to come back to my house? I live just right around the corner and I'm like of course you do No

Kayla Deickman 55:32
Not on the first date buddy

Claudine Marcin 55:34
His demeanor changed like that

Rich Bennett 55:37
He was only there for one thing

Claudine Marcin 55:39
Right after that.

Rich Bennett 55:40
He was there for a hook up

I got it. See I get

Claudine Marcin 55:45
you got it

Kayla Deickman 55:46
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 55:46
right.

Kayla Deickman 55:46
yeah, get in there.

Claudine Marcin 55:47
Good for you

Kayla Deickman 55:48
I'm proud of

Claudine Marcin 55:49
weird.

Kayla Deickman 55:49
you

Claudine Marcin 55:49
So

Kayla Deickman 55:50
in a

Claudine Marcin 55:50
He he wouldn't look at me anymore After that. He was being really cold to me after that and I was like whatever

Rich Bennett 55:59
good book

Claudine Marcin 55:59
and So you walked me into my car Still like trying to see if he could guilt me into going back to his place

Kayla Deickman 56:07
where no means no

Claudine Marcin 56:09
But then there's other men that they tried the same thing Hey, you know you want to come back to me and I said no and they did not change their demeanor

Rich Bennett 56:18
right and

Claudine Marcin 56:18
I dated him for like a month or something So it's just the you can tell the different ones the red flags that you got to look for when you're dating them So I'm putting all of this. It's like a growth. You'll see my growth throughout the book

as the main character obviously all

Kayla Deickman 56:38
names

Claudine Marcin 56:38
the

Kayla Deickman 56:40
Yeah, I mean

Claudine Marcin 56:42
growth and and what's what's also cool is there's other things going on. So this is a layered book

Rich Bennett 56:49
Right

Claudine Marcin 56:49
there's

Kayla Deickman 56:49
other

Claudine Marcin 56:50
Happening not just the dating, but you see the characters grow throughout the book and

Where she ends up and I think I have in mind of how the story is going to end It probably will go will circle back to one of the guys that she dated that it

Kayla Deickman 57:10
of

Claudine Marcin 57:10
didn't

Kayla Deickman 57:10
times

Claudine Marcin 57:11
and she dated a couple and then they will finally maybe. If it's gotta be, if it's gotta be one of those romance novels that ties up neatly with a happy ending, then I'll do that. I wanted to do something different, but I talked to Christy Wolf about it and she's like, it's gotta have a happy ending.

Kayla Deickman 57:31
Yeah, that's kind of what everybody looks for. I mean,

Claudine Marcin 57:34
Right.

Kayla Deickman 57:37
I'm an avid. I don't say anything. I'm an avid romance reader, smut reader, and I read every type of book.

Rich Bennett 57:46
He loves doing the evanesc copy reading.

Kayla Deickman 57:48
I do. I do a lot of

Claudine Marcin 57:50
reader.

Kayla Deickman 57:50
arc

Claudine Marcin 57:50
I've got an arc reader right there for my romance.

Kayla Deickman 57:52
I like our greeting. It's not a fun. But yeah, so I am happily of our actors or unless you're like turning into us.

Claudine Marcin 58:03
Okay,

Kayla Deickman 58:03
I'd say happily of our actors are a

Claudine Marcin 58:05
Well,

Kayla Deickman 58:05
must.

Claudine Marcin 58:05
I have my happily ever after in mind already for the book. Oh, the other thing that happens when you're on-line dating. Also, this is going to make him turn red for sure.

Kayla Deickman 58:13
Please.

Claudine Marcin 58:14
The guys will unsolicited send

Kayla Deickman 58:17
Oh my gosh.

Claudine Marcin 58:18
picks.

Kayla Deickman 58:19
Okay. So, I'm not, I have not been on the dating scene in 11 years. And I've had friends who have like introduced me to people that they've dated and then had unsolicited picks from their, from the people they're dating. And I'm like, please, no, leave me alone

Claudine Marcin 58:42
in what universe do they think that we want a picture of it? I don't know.

Rich Bennett 58:47
You should respond back with your side view mirror. What's it say on the side view mirror?

Maybe things may larger than what they

Claudine Marcin 58:57
be

Rich Bennett 58:58
actually are.

Claudine Marcin 58:59
There was actually I have a much better response. So I saw this comedian do a little skit like when I'm on social media, I'll see the little videos in this woman was talking about this exact topic. And so she said, you need to have a dick pick on your phone saved and ready to go. And so when a guy sends you a dick pick,

Rich Bennett 59:20
you send

Claudine Marcin 59:22
him one right

Kayla Deickman 59:22
back. Oh

Rich Bennett 59:26
wow

Kayla Deickman 59:27
that is awesome. I wish I would have

Claudine Marcin 59:29
had

Kayla Deickman 59:29
right

Claudine Marcin 59:29
that

Kayla Deickman 59:29
back when I

Rich Bennett 59:30
was.

Claudine Marcin 59:33
The first one, the first one that I got, this was hilarious. So I'm in the car, I'm driving. This guy is texting me while I'm driving. So I'm using the voice to text in my car. I was not on my phone. So I could, you know, listen to what he said and then I could respond back to him. He was asking me for a picture. I'm like, dude, I'm driving. I could send you a picture. And next thing I know a picture comes through on my phone and I'm like, oh God, help me know, I couldn't look at it right because I was driving. I parked the car. I get my phone, I open it up and there it is.

Rich Bennett 1:00:13
Wow.

Claudine Marcin 1:00:14
If you're gonna send me one at least, at least, you know, try to frame it nicely and all this

Kayla Deickman 1:00:20
stuff. Oh my

Claudine Marcin 1:00:21
my

Kayla Deickman 1:00:21
gosh.

Claudine Marcin 1:00:21
God. No. He had it over top of the toilet, which

Rich Bennett 1:00:26
Oh

Kayla Deickman 1:00:26
Oh

Claudine Marcin 1:00:26
had the.

Kayla Deickman 1:00:26
my God.

Claudine Marcin 1:00:27
Up and I could see like the plunger

Kayla Deickman 1:00:30
So

Claudine Marcin 1:00:31
and over.

Kayla Deickman 1:00:31
like not even.

Claudine Marcin 1:00:32
And there it is. And I'm like, oh my God. Delete. immediately delete, right? And then I saw that comedy skit, right? And I'm like, damn, I should have saved that picture because that would be the perfect one to send back to somebody.

Kayla Deickman 1:00:45
I mean,

Claudine Marcin 1:00:46
Right. Now now this

Rich Bennett 1:00:49
wow,

Claudine Marcin 1:00:50
may not be something I want to admit to, but the net, the most recent dick pic that I received, I did have to keep it. it's a good one. It's a good one. And it's, it's like a like a full body shot.

Kayla Deickman 1:01:04
Oh, Like framed here and that.

Claudine Marcin 1:01:10
It's a good one. It's a good one. So it's, it's over in my files.

Kayla Deickman 1:01:16
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 1:01:16
So I don't accidentally weed it.

Yeah, I'm keeping that one. This guy.

Kayla Deickman 1:01:23
Got it.

Rich Bennett 1:01:23
So is this book and a

Claudine Marcin 1:01:27
phone

Kayla Deickman 1:01:28
or

Rich Bennett 1:01:30
something porn? Where the hell did this become a porn cop podcast?

Claudine Marcin 1:01:34
But so this guy. I matched. And we've never met, but because he thinks we live too far away, but he matched with me anyway,

Kayla Deickman 1:01:45
whatever.

Claudine Marcin 1:01:46
And so every time I send him a message, he would send me back a

Kayla Deickman 1:01:50
voice,

Claudine Marcin 1:01:54
oh, his voice.

Kayla Deickman 1:01:54
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 1:01:54
oh, so good.

And I know it's him because it's also he has a video. So you can see him, you can see him talking, so I know it's him.

Kayla Deickman 1:02:07
And the voice matches,

Claudine Marcin 1:02:11
and then he sent me that, so I finally got it, because we've just about

Rich Bennett 1:02:14
been talking

Claudine Marcin 1:02:15
that. And every now and then, you know, I'll check in with him.

Yeah, so the last time we were going back and forth, uh, I finally got it, I guess I gave him my phone number twice, and he wouldn't call me or text me, right? He finally did. And that's how I got that picture.

Yeah, I didn't ask for it. It just came, and then I'm like,

Kayla Deickman 1:02:51
no

Claudine Marcin 1:02:52
pun intended, but, and then

Rich Bennett 1:02:53
wait, I missed that, what?

Kayla Deickman 1:02:55
Yeah, it's okay.

Claudine Marcin 1:02:55
You'll get it on the replay.

Kayla Deickman 1:02:57
Yeah.

Claudine Marcin 1:03:00
But yeah, so I kept that so there's just a lot of material that I have to go in this book. It's a journey.

Kayla Deickman 1:03:06
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 1:03:07
journey.

Kayla Deickman 1:03:08
And sounds like pretty pleasant journey for the most.

Rich Bennett 1:03:10
Any idea when you're playing our release in this book?

Claudine Marcin 1:03:13
Well, I'm not very far into the writing.

Rich Bennett 1:03:15
Okay, good, because I'm just sitting here thinking we may just have to do a whole new episode about online dating.

Claudine Marcin 1:03:23
why I want see, okay, here you go now that you have brought this up. So listeners, you all need to write into Rich Bennett and tell him that he needs to produce a podcast for me and my friend, because we want to do exactly what he just said, a podcast for online dating. And we have so much material to

Kayla Deickman 1:03:47
That's

Claudine Marcin 1:03:48
share.

Rich Bennett 1:03:48
I don't know how I did that. Wait, wait, wait, something that has been bugging the whole out of me when you all talked about this dog, not dog fishing catfish and

Kayla Deickman 1:03:57
Dog,

Rich Bennett 1:03:57
shit.

Kayla Deickman 1:03:58
no.

Rich Bennett 1:03:59
catfish and so

Kayla Deickman 1:04:00
I mean,

Rich Bennett 1:04:00
see thank God, you know, thank

Kayla Deickman 1:04:02
just

Rich Bennett 1:04:02
God, I'm married because there ain't no way in hell I could make it in the online dating circuit circuit. Whatever, because my face is constantly changing throughout the year, because me playing Santa Claus,

but when this all when the beard and all comes off, it's

Claudine Marcin 1:04:24
And

Rich Bennett 1:04:24
like

Claudine Marcin 1:04:24
if you put pictures in your

Rich Bennett 1:04:25

Claudine Marcin 1:04:25
profile of you, the different ways.

Rich Bennett 1:04:28
No, I

Claudine Marcin 1:04:29
don't know. No, that's what you would

Rich Bennett 1:04:30
do.

Kayla Deickman 1:04:30
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 1:04:31
That's

Kayla Deickman 1:04:31
yeah.

Claudine Marcin 1:04:31
what you would do. And then you would say that that's what you do, you, because you write your bio and you say that. You can put that stuff in

Rich Bennett 1:04:39
I can

Claudine Marcin 1:04:39
there that you that I

Rich Bennett 1:04:40
be

Claudine Marcin 1:04:41

Rich Bennett 1:04:41
interesting

Claudine Marcin 1:04:41

Rich Bennett 1:04:42

Claudine Marcin 1:04:43

Rich Bennett 1:04:43

Claudine Marcin 1:04:44
they're

Kayla Deickman 1:04:45

Rich Bennett 1:04:51
What?

Kayla Deickman 1:04:52
Oh, I just, I just thought of one.

Rich Bennett 1:04:55
Are you think of something back candy

Kayla Deickman 1:04:56
That's

Rich Bennett 1:04:56

Kayla Deickman 1:04:57

Rich Bennett 1:04:58
Oh, the chimney.

Claudine Marcin 1:05:00
No,

Rich Bennett 1:05:00
Okay, I'm

Kayla Deickman 1:05:01

Rich Bennett 1:05:01
afraid to ask.

Claudine Marcin 1:05:01
I'm not going to say what it went through my head, but anyway,

Kayla Deickman 1:05:07
I just thought of a whole bunch because I have a whole like set of like holiday. romance novels

Claudine Marcin 1:05:13

Kayla Deickman 1:05:53

Claudine Marcin 1:05:53

Kayla Deickman 1:05:56

Rich Bennett 1:05:58
There may be somebody out there listening that has seen or even know told it and said, oh, I want to be in her novel.

Kayla Deickman 1:06:07
Not

Claudine Marcin 1:06:07

Kayla Deickman 1:06:11

Rich Bennett 1:06:11
Never mind.

Kayla Deickman 1:06:13
It was really nice talking.

Rich Bennett 1:06:14

Claudine Marcin 1:06:17
Oh

Kayla Deickman 1:06:18

Rich Bennett 1:06:18
I was just going to ask if you had any more questions for her. Before I

Kayla Deickman 1:06:23
can we be friends?

Claudine Marcin 1:06:25
Yes.

Rich Bennett 1:06:27
We

Kayla Deickman 1:06:27

Claudine Marcin 1:06:28

Claudine Marcin 1:06:31
We're starting a club.

Rich Bennett 1:06:32
Oh, you want to join the lit ladies

Claudine Marcin 1:06:34
authors against rich Bennett.

Rich Bennett 1:06:36
Why? What the hell? You never heard

Kayla Deickman 1:06:39

Claudine Marcin 1:06:43
up. (No, I'm not in that. That's a good one though!

Rich Bennett 1:06:46
Shut

Claudine Marcin 1:06:46
That's the- we're starting the 50 shades

Rich Bennett 1:06:47
color.)

Claudine Marcin 1:06:47
of red

Kayla Deickman 1:06:49
No, I seriously,

Claudine Marcin 1:06:50
no-

Kayla Deickman 1:06:50
I have

Claudine Marcin 1:06:50
the

Kayla Deickman 1:06:50
ladies

Claudine Marcin 1:06:50

Claudine Marcin 1:06:51
So, the lit ladies is, well, we've, uh, Christy is like an honorary lit lady as well. So, the lit ladies are myself, K-R-R-E, Debbie Jennings, and Irmgard Brown.

Kayla Deickman 1:07:04
How is Debbie not? He told me. (Ugh.)

Claudine Marcin 1:07:06
we- we formed this group, and we, you know, share events, information with each other, and we attend events together, and we would like to come on, which is show together. We tried that

Rich Bennett 1:07:16
So,

Claudine Marcin 1:07:16
one time. We tried, yeah, we were the only two that could make it. But it would be fun to get us all involved in it. But, uhm,

Kayla Deickman 1:07:23
can I join

Claudine Marcin 1:07:24
yeah,

Kayla Deickman 1:07:24
your club? I-

Rich Bennett 1:07:25
it's scary when I- I don't know why. For some-

Kayla Deickman 1:07:28
it's so easy

Rich Bennett 1:07:28
when- Whenever I get more than one,

Kayla Deickman 1:07:30
I hold her

Rich Bennett 1:07:30
on. On, it becomes scary because you're... trying to embarrass

Claudine Marcin 1:07:35
me. Try?

Rich Bennett 1:07:37
Shut

Kayla Deickman 1:07:37
Try?

Rich Bennett 1:07:37
up.

Claudine Marcin 1:07:38
(laughs)

Kayla Deickman 1:07:38
It's not! I- I've told

Claudine Marcin 1:07:39
we're

Kayla Deickman 1:07:39
you-

Claudine Marcin 1:07:40
already thinking alike.

Kayla Deickman 1:07:41
I was gonna say, I've told you on many of public platforms that that's my job. It is my job to come on here and, um, I don't know why you invite me back.

Rich Bennett 1:07:50
Oh my

Claudine Marcin 1:07:51
God. Oh, I'm definitely coming on when I get my smut novel written.

Kayla Deickman 1:07:54
Oh,

Rich Bennett 1:07:54
oh, oh, oh, oh you have to. In all honesty,

Kayla Deickman 1:07:55
you have to. You should- you have to, and then you know what? Who- who? You should have co-hosts that.

Rich Bennett 1:07:59
No,

Claudine Marcin 1:08:00
Chrissy.

Rich Bennett 1:08:00
not Chrissy.

Kayla Deickman 1:08:01
Well, we should have Chrissy too, but we should also invite Wendy.

Rich Bennett 1:08:04
How now?

Kayla Deickman 1:08:06
Yes.

Rich Bennett 1:08:07
Well, I know.

Kayla Deickman 1:08:08
gonna-

Claudine Marcin 1:08:08
And we're

Kayla Deickman 1:08:09
because that would be perfect.

Claudine Marcin 1:08:11
Rich. Do that podcast for us.

Rich Bennett 1:08:13
That could-

Claudine Marcin 1:08:14
Do some-

Rich Bennett 1:08:14
this could be scary, but this could be a scary one to do live.

Kayla Deickman 1:08:18
lot of- Yeah, it could- it could be a very scary one to do. Oh, you should do it though!

Rich Bennett 1:08:22
We're gonna start a And once a month, starting this- starting this month, September.

Kayla Deickman 1:08:30
Alright.

Rich Bennett 1:08:30
Alright, so, Claudine, anything you'd like to add before I get to my last question?

Claudine Marcin 1:08:34
Well, no, I just appreciate the support of all the readers out there. And, um, any- any buddy that is reading a novel, and especially if it's a book- book- I can't even talk right now- a book that's written by, uh, a small author, self-published in the author. Writing reviews is the best thing that you can do for us.

Rich Bennett 1:08:57
Well, why can't you speak right now? Did somebody- some guy send you a pic?

Claudine Marcin 1:09:01
I'm not even-

Rich Bennett 1:09:02
At

Claudine Marcin 1:09:03
my phone! I will show you that pic.

Rich Bennett 1:09:05
No, my God! No, I don't want to see that.

Claudine Marcin 1:09:07
Then you better stop.

Rich Bennett 1:09:08
Alright, so some-

Claudine Marcin 1:09:13
you can find it on my website, by the way.

Rich Bennett 1:09:15
Whoop the hell not?

Claudine Marcin 1:09:17
No,

Rich Bennett 1:09:17
Oh, what's

Claudine Marcin 1:09:17
uh,

Rich Bennett 1:09:18
that? So,

Kayla Deickman 1:09:18
hey.

Rich Bennett 1:09:18
I see something new here, pick a number between 1 and 100. And why'd you pick that number as I'm looking?

Claudine Marcin 1:09:27
Fifty-eight. I don't know. It just came to me.

Kayla Deickman 1:09:30
I'm

Claudine Marcin 1:09:34
liking that number.

Rich Bennett 1:09:39
Oh,

Claudine Marcin 1:09:39
oh,

Rich Bennett 1:09:40
oh. Oh, no, this is- hey, it's a good question, but it has

Claudine Marcin 1:09:43
Lay

Rich Bennett 1:09:43
nothing-

Claudine Marcin 1:09:43
it on me.

Rich Bennett 1:09:44
It has nothing to do with it. Unless it's somehow another you- Back.

Claudine Marcin 1:09:49
Oh, I can twist

Rich Bennett 1:09:50

Claudine Marcin 1:09:50
anything.

Rich Bennett 1:09:50
bet you could. What's a moment you experienced profound gratitude?

Don't got to see,

Claudine Marcin 1:10:01
went-

Rich Bennett 1:10:01
I know she She went there. She's thinking there.

Claudine Marcin 1:10:06
Profound gratitude? Wow.

Uh, you know, uh, uh so I'll be clean.

Rich Bennett 1:10:15
You don't have to, look, the podcast is marked explicit because of people like you and

Claudine Marcin 1:10:21
Alright,

Rich Bennett 1:10:21
Caleb.

Claudine Marcin 1:10:22
okay, well, this is gonna go- actually, okay, so I'll do it then. I was gonna be nice, but I won't. Um

Kayla Deickman 1:10:28
so, uh,

Claudine Marcin 1:10:29
my friends and I that I made from picable also last year we went to a, um, well actually I will say I'm profoundly gratitude for my friends from picable first. I will say that because a couple of us have said that we met each other at the exact right time. We were at low points in our lives. We met, uh, in the introductory class, which is free.

Rich Bennett 1:10:51
Right.

Claudine Marcin 1:10:52
And there were three of us that met there and we continued to attend the next class together and then started in the open place together as well. And then we made a couple of more friends. And, you know, again, these were women that just happened to be at low points myself included. I was at a low point.

Rich Bennett 1:11:11
Mm-hmm.

Claudine Marcin 1:11:12
And we became almost like best friends like we have

Kayla Deickman 1:11:15
Oh.

Claudine Marcin 1:11:15
known each other forever. And so that's an honest, profound point. You know, where I experienced profound gratitude. But the other thing was that we were, so here's a funny one. So we went out to a holiday dinner last year together. And in the point in the conversation that we were talking about sex toys, which was fun. And so, we, you know, we were just sharing stories and like one of my friends was talking about this rose toy.

Kayla Deickman 1:11:46
Oh, I've heard of

Claudine Marcin 1:11:47
I have seen, I have seen it on social media. And I thought it was fake.

Kayla Deickman 1:11:52
that. It is not.

Claudine Marcin 1:11:53
And she was like, no, it's real. And so I was like, well, did you guys know that you can get sex toys at

Rich Bennett 1:12:00
Target? Huh?

Claudine Marcin 1:12:01
And they did not know that. And I was like, oh, yeah. And so I pulled it up

Rich Bennett 1:12:05
Target.

Claudine Marcin 1:12:05
on their web.

Rich Bennett 1:12:07
That's how sorry you do.

Claudine Marcin 1:12:09
you go. See makes sense. It all makes sense now. And I pulled it up and showed it to them. And so we were actually designing our own sex toy at the

Kayla Deickman 1:12:17
There

Claudine Marcin 1:12:17
table. We were like, these are the features it needs to have. We just need an engineer to make it for us. But that was a really profoundly gratifying discussion because that's when I learned that the rose toy was real.

Kayla Deickman 1:12:32
It is real.

Claudine Marcin 1:12:33
But, but I will say that I did purchase it. I don't like it. But there

Kayla Deickman 1:12:40
another rose like

Claudine Marcin 1:12:40
was

Kayla Deickman 1:12:40
a knockoff.

Claudine Marcin 1:12:41
No, there was another version of the rose toy

Kayla Deickman 1:12:45
that

Claudine Marcin 1:12:45
they make. And I like it much better. And so I did get it.

Kayla Deickman 1:12:50

Claudine Marcin 1:12:51
got the two of them and I tried them both and I was like, I don't like you, but I love you.

Kayla Deickman 1:12:57
I went

Claudine Marcin 1:12:58
to mom. So there you go. I got two really good profoundly

Kayla Deickman 1:13:02
gratifying stories. So I went to monster erratica, which is a book convention for

I guess I don't want to say a pair normally, but like I guess it's the fall into the cat monsters,

Rich Bennett 1:13:21
Monster

Kayla Deickman 1:13:22
monsters.

Rich Bennett 1:13:22
erratica.

Kayla Deickman 1:13:23
We have had this discussion and they had a sex toy booth. But all of the dildos were like different monster themed. And they were.

Rich Bennett 1:13:39
They

Kayla Deickman 1:13:39
were amazing. Yes.

Rich Bennett 1:13:44
Alice Cooper songs come comes to my mind right now. Feed my Frankenstein.

Kayla Deickman 1:13:51
But there were some that even I was looking at them. I'm like, I want to read the book that goes along with this.

Claudine Marcin 1:14:00
I'm

Kayla Deickman 1:14:02
It was a very, very interesting. I probably just, I looked like an idiot because I was just staring and I was like

Claudine Marcin 1:14:09
sure everybody.

Kayla Deickman 1:14:10
debating not to like, I just want to poke it.

Claudine Marcin 1:14:16
We all say

Kayla Deickman 1:14:17
Yeah,

Claudine Marcin 1:14:17
that. Don't

Kayla Deickman 1:14:17
we do.

Claudine Marcin 1:14:19
we?

Kayla Deickman 1:14:20
There's some beautiful looking

Claudine Marcin 1:14:23
I'll

Kayla Deickman 1:14:23
things.

Claudine Marcin 1:14:23
show you my picture.

It's a good one.

Rich Bennett 1:14:32
You

Kayla Deickman 1:14:32
ready?

Claudine Marcin 1:14:32
How many shades of

Kayla Deickman 1:14:34
did you get?

Claudine Marcin 1:14:34
red

Rich Bennett 1:14:36
I'm

Kayla Deickman 1:14:36
sure I'll. Oh, we got that really could be a podcast of its own 50 shades of red

Claudine Marcin 1:14:43
for rich call. The podcast that my friend and I want to do 50 shades of red for rich.

Kayla Deickman 1:14:52
We should just have one podcast that the said but we get everybody that.

Claudine Marcin 1:14:55
Oh my god. He wouldn't survive

Kayla Deickman 1:14:57
It

Claudine Marcin 1:14:57
it.

Kayla Deickman 1:14:57
would be so fun, but the thing is we should video that podcast. So that

Rich Bennett 1:15:02
Dean, thank you so much. Kayla, thank you. I think
