I am a passionate advocate for curing Type 1 diabetes. To that end I've written a story (fiction with true historical references) about an unusual individual outside of the medical research community who drives the U.S.A. towards the cure despite the obstacles of politics, greed and the sordid interests of Big Pharma. Though we discuss the reality of life with T1D for those afflicted (mostly young children) and the people that care for them, the story is light-hearted and full of humor, satire and parody. We have the first two books in the series published and are working on the third and final work of the trilogy. We are also in process to have the story adapted in Hollywood as a streaming series. The story incorporates many of my personal experiences as a tech sector entrepreneur and family member of a young girl diagnosed with T1D at age three nineteen years ago. My motivation for writing BRAXTON'S AMERICA was to provide hope for the T1D community that we will find the cure, and inspiration to keep fighting for good health while we wait.
